Se han restablecido las visitas de los pacientes.
Declaración de limitaciones
1. Visiting hours for patient care units:
· 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. weekdays,
· 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekends, holidays and during planned Learning Center closures.
· Exceptions to standard visiting hours may be possible through prior consultation with the treatment team (for example, visiting after attending a Treatment Planning Conference, a family emergency, etc.). Exceptions for end-of-life situations or critical circumstances may be arranged.
· Food and drinks are not authorized.
· Arrangements must be made with the patient’s Treatment Team before bringing any items, such as prescription glasses, hearing aids, etc., into WSH. Items approved by the Treatment Team must be examined by Public Safety and/or unit staff for assessment of safety concerns, prior to being given to the patient. Visitors are encouraged to not ‘wrap’ items, as they will be examined prior to transport onto the unit.
· See contraband/prohibited items section for further guidance.
2. Visitation is generally limited to two (2) people per patient at a time.
3. Contraband and Search: The audio/visual phone outside WSH will connect visitors to the Information Center. As appropriate the Information Center shall grant access to WSH.
· Visitors may not bring purses, backpacks, sealed packages, plastic bags, cell phones and similar items onto patient care units.
· Visitors are subject to search, including use of a metal detector, by WSH Public Safety and must consent to inspection of all items that they wish to bring into WSH.
· Items prohibited by WSH may be stored in the visitor’s personal vehicle or in available lockers (a locker token/key will be issued to the visitor) in the WSH front lobby during their visit.
· Once Public Safety’s contraband check/search is completed, the visitor will be led through the first door to the Admissions Pathway using the access control system. They will be able to go to the public entrance of the patient care unit the
person they wish to visit is on, using the audio/visual phone to alert staff of their presence. On unit staff will escort them to the Visitor Room and bring the patient for the visit.
